В треугольнике первая сторона на 50% больше второй, но на 25% меньше третьей. Меньшую сторону увеличили на 40%, а большую на увеличила на 25%. Как изменился периметр треугольника и на сколько %?

Пусть х - вторая сторона, а у - третья сторона. Тогда:
- первая сторона, которая на 50% больше второй, будет равна 1,5х;
- первая сторона меньше третьей на 25%, т.е. равна 0,75у = у - 0,25у; приравняв выражения для первой стороны, выразим у, т.е. найдём третью сторону
0,75у = 1,5х   =>   у = 2х

Все три стороны выразили через одно неизвестное, а именно, через меньшую сторону (вторую). Узнали также, какая сторона самая большая (третья). Итак:
1,5х - первая сторона
х - вторая сторона
2х - третья сторона
Периметр равен 1,5х + х + 2х = 4,5х

Меньшую сторону (вторую) увеличиваем на 40% - 1,4х.
Большую сторону (третью) увеличиваем на 25% - 1,25*2х = 2,5х.
Новый периметр будет равен 1,5 + 1,4х + 2,5х = 5,4х

Т.о. периметр увеличился. Увеличился в 1,2 раза (5,4х : 4,5х = 1,2), т.е. на 20%.
Можно по-другому. Находим разницу между новым и старым периметром и разность делим на старый периметр:
(5,4х - 4,5х) : 4,5х = 0,9 : 4,5 = 0,2
Т.е. получили те же 20%.

Ответ: периметр увеличился на 20%.
