Polly greeted Walter and asked what the matter was.
Walter replied someone had stolen his bicycle and added it made the second time that year.
Polly said that her mother had seen a programme on television the day before and added they had said something about a man stealing bicycles in their neighbourhood.
Walter was surprised and added that he had a friend who was a policeman and asked Polly if he should telephone him.
Polly replied it was a wonderful idea and added that she could drive him to work.
Walter thanked her and added that it was very helpful of her.
