When I was a child, we  used to go (went)  to my grandparents  for Christmas. Each year, my mother would do (did) all the work. She would buy (bought) and would wrap (wrapped) all the presents, she would pack (packed) suitcases for the whole family and then she would put (put) everything in the car on Christmas Eve. My dad used to come (came)  home at lunchtime and he used to ask (asked) lots of questions like 'Have you bought all the presents? Have you packed the car properly?'
