Memorial Mamaev Kurgan and Motherland Statue was built  in Volgograd. It was built since nineteen fifty-ninth by nineteen sixty-seventh year.For building the Statue used concrete and steel structures.Motherland Statue was created by sculptor Vuchetich and engineer Nikitin.At this place there were fierce sanguinary battles for Stalingrad.Every year about a thousand tourists visit this memorial.The Motherland Statue  is one of the highest sculptures in the world. A lot of people brings the flowers here on may 9 to commemorate the battle of Stalingrad.
