This popular legend in Cornwall tells about Bolster, a big giant. He lived in Cornwall on the tip of England and terrified the locals stealing sheep and eating people. One day he fell in love with a young girl called Agnes and asked her to marry him. Agnes didn't want to marry him, so she tried to get rid of him. She asked the giant to do dangerous things to win her love but nothing workeda. Then she asked him to fill up a hole in a nearby cliff with his blood. Bolster agreed. He didn't know that the hole led down into the sea. So all his blood ran into the sea and that was the end of the evil giant.
