Goychay, sometimes Geokchay (Göyçay) is the city and administrative center of the Goychay region of Azerbaijan. Located on the right bank of the river Goychay, 18 km to the north-east of the railway station of Ujar. The name in translation from Azerbaijani means "blue river".
