Так, начнём-с
Сразу же на ум приходит Золушка. Бедная героиня вовсю "пахала", выполняя тяжёлые поручения матушки, трудилась ответственно и покорно, за что впоследствии была награждена посредством Феи-крёстной, которая всей эпопеей с принцем привела её к благополучию
В качестве второго примера можно привести Балду из "Сказки о попЕ..." Он честно трудился на попа... стоп, а благополучия нету, но, вероятно, он его получил, изрядно щёлкнув попа
А из жизни берите любого: от Моцарта до Джобса с Рокфеллером, все трудились
