With vocabulary - is it better to learn a few words at a time and practise them, rather than a lot of words by heart?

Of course, learn a few words at the time and practise them is better, than a lot of words by heart because you memorize information faster and your mind can imagine some associations, so in this way you  lern necessary words for ever
