Leslie seems be enjoying her new job. - continuous потому что она только что сменила работу и ей на данный момент нравится новая

Mark appears to have overtaken/to be overtaking John on the last lap. Yes, he's passed him!' - здесь, думаю, можно два в зависимости от смысла. если он его уже обогнал на этом последнем раунде, то перфект, а второе предложение просто как подтверждение. а continuous  - если он его в данный момент обгоняет
