My Hobby

I have got a few hobbies: reading books, drawing and listening to music... But my favourite hobby at the moment is watching anime and reading manga (which is a Japanese style of comic books and graphic novels).

I started watching anime three years ago. My first one was "Howl's Moving Castle", a Japanese animated fantasy film. I remember being impressed with its unusual plot and depiction of the characters. Then I saw "The Tale of the Princess Kaguya" and fell in love with Japan and its culture. I think I love animes because almost every cartoon is unpredictable and has something special. I have watched about 50 or 60 animes so far.

As for manga, I like to read them and study manga drawing techniques. Many manga books are my opportunity to learn about everyday life of the Japanese.

So in a way, my hobby is learning about Japanese culture.
