 Whereas Paris is big city similar to Los Angeles, it unlike Los Angeles is the capital of France.
  While  Los Angeles  is situated  in Southern California on the Pacific coast , Paris stands on the River Seine, in northern France, at the heart of the Ile-de-France region .

Paris has got  the city's metro system as well as  Los Angeles.
