БИТЬ ПОКЛОНЫ кому. Устар. 1. Почтительно кланяться, приветствуя кого-либо. Первый — худощавый старик, ступив через порог, низко поклонился Рогову. — Неисправимый ты, дед! Сколько раз говорил: перестань свои поклоны бить — рассердился Рогов (В. Ажаев. Далеко от Москвы). 2. Выражать чувство глубокого уважения, почтения, благодарности за что-либо. БИТЬ ПОКЛОН кому. — А Ленин вот ублаготворил нас, за что и поклон ему мы бьём, и благодарность всегда (Ф. Панфёров. Бруски). 3. Обл. Пренебр. Что-либо просить, выпрашивать у кого-либо. "Стоило старого чёрта уговаривать", — радовался и давал себе зарок: попомни, мол, меня, больше поклоны бить тебе не буду, не жди" (А. Иванов. Как меня с бригадиров сняли).

«Поворачиваться спиной» значение

Проявлять неуважение, безразличие к кому-то или чему-то.
