Самый первый признак наступления весны в природе интерпретируется увеличением продолжительности солнечного дня. Дни становятся длиннее, ночи короче, а солнце всё выше над горизонтом.

Исходя из предыдущего признака наступающей весны, можно определить и следующие признаки. Это появление сосулек и таяние снега. Днём солнце уже достаточно сильно прогревает воздух и землю, особенно тёмные места, например крыши домов.

Снег тает, вода стекает вниз, а к вечеру снова начинает замерзать, так и появляются столь удивительные и всеми любимые сосульки. А на следующий день уже начинается капель – предзнаменование наступления весны.
