. Окончание - это морфема, которая обычно стоит в конце слова и которая показывает на связь данного слова с другими словами. Окончание выражает значения рода, числа, падежа, лица. К примеру, в существительном стола окончание  выражает значение мужского рода единственного числа родительного падежа, в глаголе читает окончание -ет выражает значение 3-го лица единственного числа.
Окончание может стоять не только в конце,но оно всегда одно.
Ответ:всегда либо одно,либо оно нулевое.
