SEVEROMORSK
city, Murmansk region Originated in the late XIX century as a village in Quba Vaenga Vaenga in Kola Bay in the Barents sea. The name of the lip by running into it the river Vaenga. In 1951 the village became a city and renamed Severomorsk. The new name is not the North sea, and 'North sea', i.e. not the name of the sea (as in Belomorsk, black sea), and the characterization of its position.
