Церковь Покрова на Нерли - прекраснейший памятник древнерусского искусства. Она построена неизвестным зодчим более 800 лет назад на берегу реки Нерль на Владимирской земле.
Как хороша эта маленькая белокаменная церковь! Одиноко стоит она возле вязовой рощи на небольшом холмике у тихого озерца. Издалека виден её тёмно-серый купол-луковка. Церковь украшена резным белым камнем. В ясный день при безоблачном небе дышит поэзией сказки её стройная белизна.
Белокаменный храм Покрова на Нерли называют «белой лебедью» русской архитектуры.
