Hello, Ann! I was very glad to get a letter from you. 
Today it is the 29th of December. Soon we'll celebrate NEW YEAR. It is a great holiday in Russia. We give  presents to all relatives and all  friends.  
We decorate trees, houses,  and I like walking in the street when everywhere you see beautiful decorations. It is a family holiday. I like when my family gather together, we cook differents dishes, we lay the table, we sit, watch TV and talk, we sing and dance. After midnight we go to the street  we walk, dance, sing, play, it is fun!
How do you celebrate New Year? Do you like it? What presents do you like to get?
I wish you a happy new year and Merry Christmas and I want to tell you how you are dear to me. I have never met such a reliable and honest person as you. Happy Holidays!
