3 went: (a) succession of actions in the past: started playing then went to America OR (b) a definite point in the past: she was four when she started, three years later ( she was seven) she went to America

5 went: a definite point in the past May 15th

Smart7771: but there are prepositions "to" which use only with present perfect. is all right?
GreyBoar: Yes, what's wrong with it? She went to Americe / the French Open
Smart7771: So we use Present perfect in that sentences, not Past simple?
GreyBoar: No, we have to use the Past Simple in those sentences, that's for sure
GreyBoar: I gave you the reasons, didnt I?
Smart7771: yes, you did. But we always use Present perfect if has preposition "to" or is there exclusion for it
GreyBoar: Use any tense you like, i dont think I have anything else to say on this question
