Nowadays almost everybody has a microwave.  It is not very expensive and is very useful.  Most people use it to make food warm.  Some people use it to cook food.  Very often the microwave oven is used to defreeze meat.  Young mothers always use the microwave to make bottles with milk warm.  It is very convenient especially at night when babies wake up and cry for milk.  It doesn't take much time either. Short time for getting food ready is the main advantage of the microwave.
