I live in Russia. Russia is a big country. It has beautiful nature. There are a lot of forests, lakes and rivers, fields, mountains and lots of colourful landscapes. I live in Kursk region. Our region has a long and rich history. A lot of world-famous people were born here. For example, the composer Georgi Sviridov, the writers Arkadiy Gaidar and Konstantin Vorobyov, the architect Vyacheslav Klykov.

But most of all I like the nature of my region. I like to go to the forest because I can gather mushrooms and berries there in autumn. In winter there is a lot of snow in my region and I can ski, skate and toboggan, play snowballs and make snowmen with my friends. In summer, I can swim in the river. Rivers in my country are nice. They are wide and blue. I swim in them with great pleasure. I like to ride my bike, too. In spring when I walk in the forest I’m glad to hear the singing of Kursk nightingales. The singing of Kursk nightingales is famous in Russia and abroad.
