"торчавшие" - причастие

цепляясь....грязи - деепр оборот, внутри которого- прич обороты -торчавшие из земли - и причастие одиночное - застывшие - пр. об. стоит ПЕРЕД определяемым словом КОМЬЯ, поэтому не обособляется
