Listening to you talk about your somewhat uninteresting garden has been fascinating. Truly! I agree with your father in full: flowers are a massive waste of time when there are studies to be done, and judging by the grievous number of grammatical errors in your writing you need to be locked in your room with a textbook. No, Ann, I do not live in the middle of the woods, so I do not have trees growing outside of my house - it's all apartment blocks and bushes. Those bushes were planted by some weird neighborhood planning agency that wanted to make our block look more attractive to prospective buyers - no luck, fortunately. If you want my opinion, money spent on gardening and planting is money wasted - that same money can be donated to a charity, or saved up for future emergencies. If you had to decorate the yard in some way, I'd suggest putting up a few crosses: there's no such thing as too much Jesus in your life. Ugh, I guess proper letter etiquette mandates that I ask you a few questions as well, right? Ok - what are your grandparents' names? What kind of jobs do they have? Are they as inane as you? As if I really care about the answers to these questions. Anyway, ta ta for now. Hope you never send me another letter again.
