Nowadays, the rainbow diet is becoming increasingly popular. It is a diet including colourful fruit and vegetables. If most diets make you eat less in order to lose weight, this diet makes you add more colourful plant foods to your meals. The rules of the diet are simple. You should eat something red, yellow, orange, green, blue and purple every day. Strawberries, raspberries, red onions and tomatoes are rich with antioxidants and vitamins which lower the risk of heart disease and cancer. Lemons, carrots, yellow apples and apricots contain vitamins protecting your skin and supporting brain function. Cucumbers, avocado, kiwi, broccoli and green apples help you to remove toxins from your body and protect your heart. Blueberries, plums, purple cabbage and grapes reduce cholesterol and fight obesity. That's why it is highly recommended to eat all the colors regularly.
